
Pop-up tips in every neighbourhood
We will tackle fly-tipping by expanding our pop-up tips.
Our borough has never looked better, and when we bring back weekly street cleaning in April, you’ll see even more improvements.
But we know there is still work to be done to stop illegal dumping and to make life easier for all residents looking to dispose of bulky waste.
Our pop-up tips – which are mobile recycling hubs – have proved to be very popular with residents, so we’ve made them permanent and will be increasing the number which take place.
Now, every neighbourhood will have one near them at least four times a year.

What you can bring
- Recycling: paper and card, drinks cans, glass, plastics (soft)
- Small electronic items: such as household hairdryers and toasters, household batteries
- Bulky items: such as white goods and furniture
Please don’t bring
- Hazardous objects: such as tyres, paint, needles, dangerous chemicals, gas bottles, large sheets of glass (such as mirrors), and asbestos
- Commercial or industrial waste: such as building materials and waste oil
- Textiles
- Non-recyclable household rubbish: such as rubbish in black bags
