Holiday activities and food clubs (HAF) - We offer fun activities during the main school holidays for children and young people aged from five to fifteen years old. From sports, arts and trips, there is loads to keep the kids happy.
Summer Reading Challenge - The Summer Reading Challenge is an annual event aimed at children aged four to eleven years old, who are encouraged to read six (or more) books of their choice during the summer holidays.
Sport and leisure
Kids swim for free - Take the kids swimming for free in the mornings at Morden, Mitcham and Wimbledon leisure centres to start the day with a splash!
Multi-use sports areas - We have upgraded and improved many of our multi-use sports areas with new surfaces and markings for hours of fun.
Paddling pools and splash pads - With six paddling pools and two splash pads located across the borough, take the kids for some water play during the holidays, especially as the weather hots up.
BMX Track - The kids can try out BMX bike riding at the Merton Saints BMX Club. The club offers sessions aimed at all abilities including novice and beginners. One-off, free taster sessions are available.
Pitch and putt and disc golf - Spend an afternoon playing pitch and putt or disc golf with the specially created course at Morden Park.
Play areas - Let the kids climb, jump, swing and twirl at one of the borough’s many play areas. Morden Park has recently benefitted from a major upgrade, so pay a visit soon.
Stories, arts and crafts - The kids can enjoy some story or creative time with a range of free activities at Merton’s libraries over the summer.

Outdoors
Morden Hall Park's nature play area - Get back to nature with the kids as they enjoy a play area with log stepping-stone courses, swing, zip wire and climbing cargo net.
Adventure playground - For children aged eight to sixteen years old, the Acacia adventure playground offers an exciting outdoor play area for older kids.
