Consultation 2014
Following consultation on the environmental improvement proposals to the Shelton Road area, you may be aware that it was decided not to proceed with the planned construction of the junction entry treatment at Kirkley Road/Kingston Road junction until further consideration was given to objections received.
Since the completion of the other measures, we have received requests from some residents for the introduction of the junction entry treatment as originally intended. It is considered that the entry treatment would complement the implemented scheme and meet the overall objectives by providing better awareness to drivers that are entering a residential area creating a safer, more vibrant environment for all roads users.
