Informal consultation 27 March 2017
Following numerous complaints concerning parking difficulties, including obstruction and petitions requesting controlled parking, the Council is consulting with residents of Christchurch Close and Colwood Gardens, just outside the boundary of the existing CW Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ), on a proposal to introduce a CPZ in these roads.
The proposal
Residents are being asked to indicate if they would like the Council to consider the introduction of parking controls as:-
- An extension to the existing CW CPZ (operational Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6.30pm); OR
- A new 'stand alone' CPZ which could, depending on residents preferences, operate five, six or seven days a week, part day, all day and if supported into the evening.
The decision on whether or not to proceed with the next step, which would involve a statutory consultation on the proposals, will be subject to responses received during this consultation. As a resident within the consultation area you are urged to take part in the consultation even if you are not in favour of a CPZ.

The proposed design layout of the zone can be found below. Before making your decision it is suggested that you read the CPZ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's) both of which can be found as links in the related documents section below. Further information on CPZs can also be found on the Council's website.
Please complete and submit the online questionnaire, with any comments you may have by 24 April 2017. We regret that due to the number of responses received during an informal consultation it will not be possible to individually reply to each respondent.
