Update September 2021

We have received representations made from local businesses regarding insufficient short term parking provision for their patrons, therefore we are proposing to make some changes to the pay-and-display (P and D) bays outside nos. 162–196 The Broadway. This proposal will assist local businesses with their customers’ parking needs.

Proposed changes

The proposed changes include the introduction of 20 minutes' free parking and lifting the existing peak period restrictions. This would mean that customers would be able to stop within the bays between 8.30am and 11pm. The P and D machine will issue a ticket which will allow free parking for the first 20 minutes by pressing the green button. Please note that it is an offence to obtain any additional 20 minutes free parking thereafter.
