​Parks and gardens register

Historic parks and gardens contribute to the setting of listed buildings and are valued for their horticultural interest or association with a notable person or event. Historic England maintains a register of historic parks and gardens. We don’t impose additional planning controls on registered parks and gardens but we’re required to protect their historic environment. There are four parks and gardens in Merton on the register:

• Wimbledon Park
• Cannizaro Park​
• Morden Hall Park
• South Park Gardens
