Update May 2021
Following the implementation of the RPC1 CPZ in Hill View and Cranford Close, the Council has received a number of complaints and requests from Heights Close residents for permits.
Regrettably, only those within a CPZ are entitled to a permit. Given the volume of correspondences that have been received regarding this matter, we would like to give you another opportunity for inclusion.
Since a statutory consultation has already been undertaken, there will not be a need for a second statutory consultation so the responses for this consultation is simply Yes or No.

Update April 2021
Following the statutory consultation, the feedback from the community was reported to the Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Housing and Climate Emergency. Approval has been given to proceed with implementation to include Hillview and Cranford Close into RPC1 CPZ. A newsletter will be distributed shortly to all properties in the consultation boundary to update of the decision and to notify of the next stage with regards to the scheme's implementation.
For further information to the Cabinet Member decision and detailed information to the result of the statutory consultation please see below.
November 2020
Following the implementation of the RPC1 zone, we have received a number of correspondences and a petition from some residents complaining about parking difficulties. In response, we are now carrying out a statutory consultation on the intention to extend the existing RPC1 CPZ to include Hillview, Heights Close and Cranford Close. This will be an extension to the existing RPC1 Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Village Ward. The controls would operate Monday to Friday between Noon and 1pm.
What happens next?
Notice of our intention to introduce the above measures will be published in a local newspaper (The Wimbledon and Mitcham Times), London Gazette and posted on lamp columns in the vicinity. It should be noted that this consultation is not a yes / no tick box exercise. It is a statutory consultation which depends on consultees responding directly via making a representation. Representations against the proposals described in this Notice must be made in writing or email trafficandhighways@merton.gov.uk by no later than 24 December 2020 quoting reference ES/RPC1ex-Hillview. Objections must relate only to the elements of the scheme that are subject to this statutory consultation. Representations in support are also welcome.
