Request Council Tax banding changes for new or altered properties
Completion notices for new-build properties
We will issue a "completion notice" to the owner of a new-build property when we consider a property is complete, or the work remaining to be done on a new building can reasonably be expected to be completed within 3 months.
The completion notice specifies the completion day, which is the day on which it becomes a dwelling for Council Tax purposes. It is then entered into the valuation list with effect from that date.
Once a new-build is served with a completion notice a Council Tax bill will be issued.
