You can buy a car park season ticket to allow you to park in a specific car park. 

The are two types of car park season ticket:  

• standard season ticket 
• local resident or worker season ticket  

Standard season ticket 

If you don’t live or work in Merton, you can apply for a standard season ticket. You will not need to upload any proof of eligibility. 

Local resident or worker season ticket 

If you live or work in Merton you will need to upload proof of your eligibility when applying, as listed below. 

If you live in Merton

You will need to provide one of the following:

• A copy of a signed and dated formal tenancy agreement (by all relevant parties to the agreement) or lease agreement for where you live.  
• A copy of your mortgage completion letter valid within the last 12 months 
• A copy of a solicitor’s letter confirming purchase of the property  

If you do not have the above you will need to provide two of the following dated within the last 3 months:

• Gas, Water, Electricity, Telephone (landline) or Council Tax document
• Inland revenue statement
• Bank/building society statement
• Home or building insurance
• TV licence (3 month date restriction doesn't apply) 

If you work in Merton

You will need to provide a valid copy of your contract of employment.

We changed our parking permits online service on 5 November 2024. You will need to register for a new account the first time you use the new online service.

Charges

Fuel type charges and supplements  

If any of the vehicles you register are a diesel, a supplement charge will apply.

If you register a vehicle with higher CO2 emissions which emits 226g/km or more a Carbon supplement charge will apply.  

The fuel supplement is £150 for 12 months. Permits purchased for less than that duration will be charged accordingly, for example a 6-month permit will pay a supplement of £75. 

A fully electric vehicle will cost £50 for 12 months.
