Update - Statutory Consultation - 17 May 2012
All Saints School in East Road will be expanding in the new 2012/13 school year and as part of this expansion, extra classrooms will be provided at the Community Centre in Haydon’s Road which is currently undergoing renovation.
Due to increased pedestrian movement between the school and the community centre, Merton Council proposes to upgrade the existing uncontrolled crossing opposite Ceramic Tiles and upgrade to a new zebra crossing. Existing waiting restrictions and parking areas will remain unaffected by the proposals.
To introduce these features it is necessary to undertake a statutory consultation.
A Notice of the Council’s proposals for a zebra crossing and has been published in a local newspaper (The Guardian), London Gazette and posted on lamp columns in the vicinity. Representations for and against the proposals described in this Notice must be made in writing to the Head of Street Scene and Waste Management Division no later than 8 June 2012, quoting reference ES/SGE/Haydons Road.
A copy of the proposed Notice, a plan and the Council’s Statement of Reasons can be inspected at the Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX during the Council's normal office hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
