Fly-posting is the display of advertising materials on buildings or street furniture (for example litter bins and lamp posts) without permission from the owner.
Fly-posting is a crime: a court can apply a large fine for fly-posting and the council can impose an £80 fixed penalty.

We will remove fly-posting from public highways and council property.
It is the responsibility of the property owner to remove items fixed to private property. This includes telephone boxes, bus shelters and Royal Mail post boxes
