Statutory consultation March 2023
Wimbledon Bridge has recently been used by delivery services. This area is currently subject to double yellow lines and loading restrictions. It is proposed to undertake a statutory consultation to change some extent of the existing restrictions to accommodate a 15 metre cycle hire parking space. The statutory consultation will be live between 2 March and 23 March 2023.
All representations must be made directly to us by emailing Traffic.AndHighways@merton.gov.uk. If you do not have access to a computer, please submit your representation in writing to Environment & Regeneration Department, Future Merton, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, SM4 5DX. On all correspondence please provide full name and postal address and use ref: ES/EV/2023/WimbBridge.
Objections must relate only to the proposed bay that is subject to this statutory consultation.
A copy of the proposed Traffic Management Orders (TMOs), a plan and our Statement of Reasons can be inspected at Merton Link, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey, SM4 5DX during our normal office hours Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
All representations along with Officers’ comments and recommendations will be presented in a report to the Cabinet Member for Transport. Please note that responses to any representations will not be made until a final decision is made by the Cabinet Member. We are required to give weight to the nature and content of your representations and not necessarily the quantity.
Decision 7 April 2023
Following the conclusion of the statutory consultation, all representations have been considered a decision has been made to introduce the proposed cycle hire parking bay.
The Traffic management Order will be made and the bay will be introduced shortly.
