We provide a range of services to people with a physical disability living in the London Borough of Merton to help you to take part in activities of daily living and make it possible for you to lead a healthy and active life.
We aim to help you to keep as safe and as independent as possible while living in your own home.
We can help with activities which are essential to daily living such as:
- self-care – for example, washing, eating or sleeping
- work or study
- caring or domestic activities
- leisure activities, such as playing sports, hobbies or socialising.
Assessment
By talking to you about what you can do and what you find difficult, we can advise on the various ways we can support you - this is called an occupational therapy assessment.
As a result of the assessment, we may make recommendations, such as equipment and adaptations which could be made to your home to make things easier for you or find you are eligible to receive a disabled facilities grant for more significant alterations to your home.
