How to use the card
Use the card just like a debit card, anywhere that accepts MasterCard.
You can use it to:
- make BACS transfers to other bank accounts online
- make payments over the telephone
- set up direct debits and standing orders
You can only spend the amount that is loaded onto the card.
You can only use the card to pay for goods and services to meet your social care needs as set out in your support plan. For example, you may use it to pay a care agency or personal assistant (PA).
You can arrange a monthly standing order through your bank for your contribution (which is dependent on your financial assessment) – you just need to use the account number and sort code printed on your prepaid card.
You cannot use the prepaid card to withdraw cash.
Check how much money is on the card
You can check the balance of your account online:
You can also phone Allpay on 0330 123 2041 (option 2), Monday-Friday 8 am to 6pm except bank holidays. Calls may be recorded.
