Consultation and engagement on service priorities (2021). Through engagement with people living with dementia and carers as well as wider online survey to Dementia Action Alliance, partners and residents. The findings enhanced the service specification for Community Dementia Services which is currently in use.

Seven Merton dementia carers worked with the Alzheimer’s Society national media team and supported by our local commissioned Merton Memory Service to develop a film telling about their realities of caring for someone living with dementia. Feel Good Folders video

Cancer screening awareness

Working with our health partners at St Georges Bowel Cancer Screening and Breast Cancer Screening to promote awareness. Our Public Health colleague’s role was to enable NHS organisations to engage with Merton’s community and voluntary sector.

Informing

Engaging with libraries (pop ups), Community Champions, Faith and Belief Forum, Ethnic Minority Forum and community and voluntary sector organisations (awareness talks) to promote awareness around bowel and breast cancer screening, particularly for groups facing health inequalities, including our ethnic minority communities.
