You can sponsor the planting of a new park tree in Merton by choosing a suitable location and making a set donation.
You may be looking for a way to celebrate the life of a loved one, mark an important event such as a wedding or an anniversary, or just find a thoughtful gift. Having a tree planted in one of our local parks is a great way to create a lasting legacy. As it grows, it will cast its shade for many decades, maybe even hundreds of years, helping improve the immediate environment.
We are working with Trees for Streets to make it easier for residents to sponsor new tree planting. Trees for Streets is a national tree sponsorship scheme from the charity Trees for Cities.
How to apply
Apply to sponsor a tree (Trees for Streets)
The Trees for Streets website will ask you to choose the park or green space where you’d like us to plant the tree. You’ll then need to provide a donation payment of £295.
What happens next
Our contractor will plant a 2.5–3m tree between November and March. If you submit your request after 6 December, your tree may be planted the following winter.
When the tree is planted, Trees for Streets will contact you with the location details.
