Summary

Merton's Local Plan and Policies Map was submitted to the Secretary of State on 2 December 2021. The Secretary of State appointed G J Fort BA PGDip LLM MCD MRTPI and R J Aston BSc (Hons) DipTP MRTPI to conduct the examination.

Inspectors submitted their final report to the council in October 2024. Merton’s new Local Plan is due to be recommended for adoption to council on 20 November 2024. The new Local Plan and Inspectors’ final report are available via agenda item 4 for Merton’s Cabinet meeting on 4 November 2024.
