For those who are 10 years or older who have already gained the basics and are pretty confident not just sailing on their own but also happy to rig, launch, reef, capsize and recover unassisted and put their boat away without assistance.

For these aspiring sailors we can offer the opportunity to improve on the skills they already have, hopefully gaining some more signatures in their logbook at whatever stage they are working towards.

The nature of the Youth Sailing Scheme (YSS) means that children can earn the landmark stages as and when they can sail to that standard. There is no pressure to try and complete a stage in a week (and sometimes this is just not realistic), and sailors' skills can grow at their own pace.

The course will likely use Pico's and Topaz's as well as a range of other boats both single and double-handed as is appropriate.

Our fun-focused courses always aim to ensure children enjoy the sport, and go away loving sailing with us at Wimbledon Park.

The outcome of each week is dependent on the individual as well as the weather, a windless or excessively windy week, may reduce the skills that any individual is able to demonstrate.

Nervousness comes to all doing something new, or after a period of not sailing so don't worry, we will make sure they have a great time!

If you are concerned about being the oldest, how about bringing some mates or check our Teen Supreme course that is exclusively for 13 – 16 year olds.

Cost: £284 - £355
