Health and Wellbeing Strategy

To reduce the unfair and avoidable differences in health that exist across Merton, we must give everyone the same opportunity to thrive and lead a healthy life.

Our Merton Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025-2030 has the vision of “Working together to create a thriving Merton where every individual can lead a healthier and more fulfilling life: by creating the physical and social environments and opportunities to succeed, aligned to people’s needs, supported by a fair, accessible and sustainable healthcare system.”

To deliver on our vision, we need to work together beyond health and care services. Our approach and response to tackle health inequalities recognises 80% of what influences our health encompasses the social, economic, and environmental conditions in which residents live, work, and age.

Our strategy has been co-produced by partners of the statutory Merton Health and Wellbeing Board.  It is an important strategic document for all organisations and partners, and influences decisions about funding, the allocation of resources, and our joint direction of travel until 2030.
