​From 1 October 2021, the London Borough of Sutton are managing the insurance service for the London Borough of Merton under a collaboration agreement. The change is intended to ensure there is more capacity and expertise to deal with the workload, which we expect to result in an improvement in the service to schools. There will be new contacts in Sutton who will be supporting schools going forward and we'll let you know who they are soon. Staff will also be attending the School Business Managers Forum on 14 October to discuss the changes.  In the meantime, the contact detail for Sutton insurance service is:

The purpose of this Service Level Agreement (SLA) is to define the rights and responsibilities of both the school and the Council in respect of this service.

The SLA​ sets out, the details of the service that will be provided, its cost, performance standards, who will provide it and how it will be monitored. It also details any responsibilities that must be met by the school to enable the service to be provided.
