About My Tax and Benefits
Save time and money
Why spend time on costly telephone calls when you can access your details online?
Convenient for you
You can look up your account or benefits claim at a time that is most suitable for you. The online service is usually available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so you can log on whenever you like.
Apply for reductions in your Council Tax
You can apply for a discount, exemption, or other reduction in your council tax by completing one of our online forms. For more information about possible reductions see Council Tax Discounts and Exemptions.
View benefit payments
All Housing Benefit payment details can be viewed online – even those paid to landlords.
See how we have worked out your Housing Benefit
Access to the details we have used to work out how much Housing Benefit to pay you. You can then notify us immediately of any changes in circumstances that may affect how much benefit you are entitled to, by completing one of our online forms.
Get your bills by email
Instead of receiving a paper Council Tax or Business Rates bill, you can choose to receive your bill by email. Paperless billing helps you save time and helps us reduce our printing and postage costs.
You can't use the email copy of your bill to pay at a PayPoint, Post Office or bank, as it doesn't contain a barcode. Email bills are sent as an unencrypted attachment.
Send us a message
You can send us secure message about your Council Tax account or benefit claim which will go directly into our office and be registered automatically on your account or claim number – no delays!
