Temporary changes have been made to street trading nationally with the introduction of Pavement licences. They are a fast track licence designed to allow premises to seat customers on the highway for the serving of food and drink.
Street trading licences must be renewed annually. Applications can be made not later than two months or earlier than three months before the licence runs out. Renewal forms will normally be sent out prior to expiry, however, it remains the responsibility of the trader to ensure they have a valid licence.
If a licence is not renewed it will lapse and enforcement action may be taken for unlicensed trading.
