Introduction
London Road Cemetery opened in April 1929 and is approximately 15 acres in size. It caters for different religions, and both consecrated and unconsecrated areas are available.

The toilets (including a disabled toilet) are open during funerals.
Layout
New graves
The cemetery is open to residents of Merton as well as people from outside of the borough. New graves are available in the lawn sections which includes American casket graves (only for wooden style caskets) and a cremated remains section.
We normally dig graves for two interments, but depending on ground conditions we can sometimes only offer graves for one.
Types of grave available
Lawn graves available in sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 18, 22 and 34 (see plan above)
Cremated remains graves are available in sections 18 and 24
Garden spaces
We welcome garden spaces although there are restrictions.
Chapel
The cemetery has a chapel that can be used for a 30 minute service prior to a burial. The chapel has seating for 80 people. It is suitable for all faiths and beliefs. It has wheelchair access, an electric organ, a hearing loop and bluetooth speaker.
